Why do BeerSaverTM’s Microbial Inhibitors work so well?

BeerSaverTM’s patented digital wave technology is an innovative approach designed to combat biofilm formation within draught dispense beer lines by disrupting bacterial communication, specifically targeting the process known as quorum sensing.

Quorum Sensing and Biofilm Formation

Quorum sensing is a chemical signalling process that bacteria use to coordinate their behaviour based on population density. When bacteria reach a critical density, they release and detect signalling molecules called autoinducers, which trigger the expression of genes responsible for various collective behaviours, including biofilm formation. Biofilms are structured communities of bacteria that adhere to surfaces, such as the inner walls of beer lines, protected by a slimy extracellular matrix. Once established, biofilms are difficult to remove and can lead to contamination and spoilage of beer, necessitating frequent and rigorous cleaning.

Digital Wave Disruption Mechanism

The digital wave generated by BeerSaverTM’s system is designed to interfere with the chemical signals that bacteria use for quorum sensing. When applied to beer lines, it creates an electromagnetic field that disrupts the signalling pathways of the bacteria. This disruption prevents the bacteria from effectively communicating and coordinating the formation of biofilms.

Impact on Beer Line Maintenance

By inhibiting the quorum sensing mechanism, the digital wave prevents bacteria from reaching the critical mass needed to form robust biofilms. As a result, the beer lines remain significantly cleaner for longer periods, reducing the need for frequent cleanings. Traditionally, beer lines might require weekly cleaning to prevent biofilm buildup. Still, with the sawtooth wave technology, this interval can be extended to 8-12 weeks or even longer with advanced systems like UltraFlowTM.

Incorrect nightly sanitising of beer nozzles and/or antibacterial spraying of keg connectors during keg change will allow bacteria to get into the system and affect beer quality. This may even reduce the time between clean cycles and reduce the overall savings and benefits BeerSaver provides.

We’ve got just the solution for you – our incredible beer hygiene pack which includes –

  • Sanitiser tablets for overnight soaking of beer tap nozzles: These little marvels wage war on bacteria and prevent pesky biofilm from forming in your tap nozzles.
  • sprayPURE food safe antibacterial spray: An absolute must-have when changing kegs! It ensures that keg connectors and barrel tops remain pristine, free from any unwelcome bacterial guests.
  • Beer tap caps: These protect your taps from any overnight bacterial build-up inside the nozzles and keep out pesky beer-flies.
